When Amitabh Bachchan Was Utterly Guilty Of Not Spending Enough Time With His Kids- Throwback Video
In a throwback interview clip of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, the former states that he regrets not spending enough time with his children
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are among one of the most celebrated couples of Bollywood. The two have been looked upon by all their fans for several reasons and parenting is one of them. However, in an old interview with BBC that was taken around three decades ago, has gone viral on the internet, the superstar reveals how he is guilty of not being able to give enough time to his kids (Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan) due to his professional commitments. In the clip, the interviewer asks the couple he is sure that Jaya takes care of their kids and whether Amitabh Bachchan, too, helps in the same. To which, the megastar responds saying that he is ashamed of not giving enough time to the kids in their crucial growing-up years. The actor could be heard saying, “This is a very difficult question for me, and I am very ashamed of the fact that I am so involved into my work that I don’t get the amount of time I want to spend with my kids. My kids are of seven (Abhishek) and nine (Shweta) year olds each and I should be with them since this is the most formative phase. However, I have a choice of either working enough to earn money for their studies, clothes and food or I give all my time to them.”

Jaya Bachchan, who was carefully listening to the conversation, reacted to Big B's statement by saying, “I still think that Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) gives enough time kids, and both of them are majorly influenced by him from whatever little I notice at home.”
